Schupfnudeln with mushroom cream cheese sauce
Autumn is here, and we at BAF love celebrating the cold season with warm, hearty dishes. Recently we got together to prepare one of our favorite autumn dishes: Schupfnudeln with mushroom and cream cheese sauce. In the pictures you can see Janice and Hannah busy cooking, and Fränzi, who captured the beautiful moments behind the camera.
In this blog post we will not only show you the recipe, but also how to achieve perfect results with our BAF BLACKline pans.
Quick recipe: Schupfnudeln with mushroom cream cheese sauce
What you need:
- 1 pack of Schupfnudeln
- 400 g mushrooms
- 3 spring onions
- 1 package of horseradish cream cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- Some oil for frying
- Some water for the sauce
Our BAF products that we used:
- BAF BLACKline casserole pan 28 cm – ideal for larger quantities
- BAF BLACKline pan 24 cm – perfect for smaller portions
- A high-quality cutting board and knife
Step 1: Preparation
First we cut the mushrooms and spring onions into thin slices.
Our Baf© BLACKline casserole pan (28 cm) is perfect for frying the potato dumplings. Thanks to its high edge of 6.5 cm and a volume of 2.8 litres, it is ideal for preparing dishes for up to 4 people. For the mushrooms we use the Baf© BLACKline pan (24 cm), ideal for smaller quantities and, like the entire BLACKline series, suitable for all types of cookers.
Step 2: Frying
Next, we add some oil to both pans. We fry the mushrooms in the small pan until golden brown. We put the potato dumplings in the stew pan and fry them over medium heat until crispy. Be careful not to set the heat too high, because the pans heat up particularly quickly thanks to their thin base, especially on induction stoves. Another advantage of our coated pans: nothing sticks and the potato dumplings become nice and crispy.
Step 3: Prepare the sauce
When the mushrooms are nicely browned, add the spring onions and fry them briefly. Then add the horseradish cream cheese and a dash of water to thicken the sauce a little. Let the whole thing simmer briefly and then season with salt and pepper.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy
Now everything is ready! The crispy potato dumplings and the creamy mushroom cream cheese sauce are served together - a simple but delicious dish that is perfect for the autumn season.
Step 5: Cleaning
Cleaning is available at our Baf© pans are also child's play. We recommend simply cleaning the pans with a little washing-up liquid and a soft sponge. This way they will stay in top condition for a long time!
