Thuringian Minister for Economic Affairs, Science and Digital Society visits Kaltennordheim

In February of this year, the Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs, Wolfgang Tiefensee, stopped by at Baf© Industrie- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH in Kaltennordheim. Together with Janine Merz, a member of the Meiningen SPD state parliament, he found out about the current situation of our company and the challenges facing the regional economy.

Open exchange about the economic situation

In an open conversation with our managing director and co-partner Michael Präßler, the current challenges facing Baf© and the entire industry were examined. Mr Präßler particularly emphasized the impact of the planned supply chain law and the consequences of illegal immigration on the economy. He expressed his concern that without a rethink in federal policy, serious economic disruption could occur.

Minister Tiefensee showed understanding for the concerns and praised our company's commitment to securing jobs in the region. He expects the economic situation to ease slightly in the coming year and called for a more realistic climate policy. "Politicians must set honest goals that can also be implemented," said Tiefensee. He criticized the rising prices for energy and food and blamed the large corporations for this.
